BIFOCAL INSTRUCTIONS


The need for, and the type of bifocals in children with strabismus have specific and unique requirements which are different to that of the usual adult applications.

The following should be noted: as indicated in the diagram above:

  1. The top of the bifocal segment should bisect both pupils when the eyes are looking at a distant object with the head in the straight position.
  2. 30 – 25mm flat-top segments are recommended.
